I’ve purchased quite a few things from the Edinburgh store, and did so again last week. The clothes I love and also the quality. Where it really disappoints is in the staff and sales assistant. They and when I say they I mean almost to a man/woman, (older balding gentleman aside), are very dour and awkward. Their lack of real people skills is for sure a major downside to what is a wonderful shop. All the effort really has to be on the customer to be friendly, which should never be the case. I would most likely still shop here due to the quality, but as some who shops a lot I would certainly buy way more if the experience wasn’t so oppressed. What a pity, it could be amazing.

I had a fantastic experience as a customer at this shop. After walking-in off the street in late November 2023, I purchased an Edward jacket with matching trousers. I was helped by Andreas, who was quick to facilitate my sizing, alterations, and the shipping of my suit to the USA. Overall, it was a superb experience with a high quality suit as the reward.

Ordered moss trousers and a matching waistcoat and they are both really lovely. Dead happy. I had left it late sorting my outfit for a wedding and the people at Walker Slater (& DHL) had my items picker, tailored, shipped to delivered to Dublin in 3 days. Great customer service. Will order again!

We came for the first time back in 2017. At this time, we were looking for our wedding suits. We found two beautiful tweed suits and all accessories. The staff was delightful, helpful and they did their best for us to look at our best on the big day. The tailoring service is high quality as well and very efficient. We came back again in 2018. We bought two beautiful winter coats 🧥 that I love. Again fantastic service and a great moment with the staff. Our last visit yesterday was no disappointment. I can’t recommend enough this shop. If you are looking for quality mens clothes it’s no better place ... and with exquisite service.

Great selection of tweeds, opted for a three piece herringbone number. Though they were busy the staff were chatty and attentive. Thanks to Jess for helping me with measurements and sorting out a very last minute tailor to adjust the hem on the troos. Look forward to going back when I'm in less of a hurry so I can get something more customised though I'm very happy with my fit and quality of suit.

Not only the shop is incredibly cosy and traditional, but the staff is mindful and kind while the fabrics and products are of outstanding quality. The quality to price ratio is one of its best for men's tweed pants. Bought two of them after more than 10 tryings. The sales person was really patient and took the necessary time for me to feel comfortable with my buying. Good point: they include cuts and fitting operations withing the base price without supplement to make sure your pant fits right. By default the pants are not cut to length on that very purpose :) Would 100% recommend.

If you’re in Edinburgh and looking for authentic tweed clothing, skip the touristy shops on the Royal Mile and head to the Walker Slater men’s or women’s shop on Victoria Street. Although slightly more expensive, their selection and quality are top notch and worth the additional cost. The staff was also very attentive and helpful.

They are great company! Why because they care about their customer. This is my first time buying from them. Although I have been following them around on Instagram since the show Peaky Blinders came out. I never had a Tweed Suit so I decided that you know what, let me get a pair from them. I had a great experience and they treated me right. Which is a very good move in their part because I am very loyal to my brands. It don't matter if I have to pay extra for shipping, as long as the company values me as customer and treated me respectfully, I am going to be loyal to that company. They have therefore next time I have saved up money for suits I will definitely get it from them.
